Dr. Waqar Hafeez
Director Research
I welcome you all to the clinical research department at Maroof International Hospital, Islamabad. This is a one-of-a-kind clinical research trial site that has started hosting clinical trials within 3 years of its inception. Maroof International Hospital is a Drug and Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) approved site for phase III and phase IV clinical trials. This is a remarkable achievement for any Hospital system, let alone for a private health entity like Maroof International Hospital.
With Professor Dr. Mujtaba Quadri being Instrumental in building a team from scratch in early 2020 and later on Dr Ammad Fahim leading the department, I am now ready to carry the torch forward. Maroof International Hospital is 'equipped' with highly skilled doctors from all the specialties that a tertiary care Hospital should have including internal medicine, critical care, emergency, cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, Orthopaedic surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Paediatric ICU and CCU, Ophthalmology, Radiology, Interventional Radiology and Pathology. Of course, this list is not exhaustive.
The basis of our strength is our belief in core principles of ethics; that is, beneficence, non-maleficence, autonomy and justice.
Come and join us in making this budding institute, a place of excellence.
